Ordering and Design process
For personalised papercuts – I will discuss all details with you (style, any personal information to be included, design, colours etc) prior to the order being confirmed so that I can try and get an image of the design you would like before you, or I, commit to anything. Please ensure that all spellings and dates are correct when ordering. Being hand cut any alterations required following cutting generally requires a full re-cut of the design. This will incur an additional charge to correct.
I will then give you a quote and once this is confirmed by you I will then draw out a design and send you through a sketch for approval based on what we have discussed. Once the design is approved you will then be invoiced for the total of the agreed price. I shall then start work on hand cutting the piece and will despatch as soon as it’s complete.
I work to tight schedules and advise that you should indicate when ordering the latest date you require your paper cut by. I will of course endeavour to accommodate your chosen date. So please don’t hesitate to contact me prior to placing your order to check my available dates. Should there be any delays I will contact you immediately.
As your paper cut is personalised and unique to you, cancelled orders following the approval of the final design require to be paid for in full. If the order is cancelled after the design phase has begun a 50% charge will be required to be paid. The design process can be just as time-consuming as the cutting and as each paper cut is uniquely designed for you, it would not be viable to re-use it for another customer.
My paper cuts are completely hand cut and slight variations will occur. This is merely a feature of a genuine handcrafted product.
All designs are hand cut to order, I don’t have stock items. Unless the item is a one off which I’ve shown on my facebook page then the papercut in the photograph is the item you will receive. These papercuts will not be dispatched until payment has been received in full.
I do reserve the right to use any design elements in other products I offer but do not let this detract from the uniqueness of your custom commission I am happy to adapt previous designs to meets your requirements, but I will always try to give you a unique cut where possible.
It is the your responsibility to ensure that all copyrights where applicable of hymns, poems, readings, images and lyrics have been obtained for any work they would like printing or cutting. Louise Bell Art does not accept responsibility for obtaining copyright permission.
Commissioned Designs may be photographed and used for the marketing or promoting of Louise Bell Art.
I may be able to fulfill orders with shorter lead times and I will do my utmost to honour all reasonable requests. Please don’t hesitate to contact me before you order to check if I have space in my schedule to fulfill your order.
I will do my best to ensure that your order arrives to you in perfect condition, however Louise Bell Art will not be held responsible for any damages once it leaves the studio or during the subsequent posting of individual items. All unframed paper cuts are sent out well wrapped in thick cardboard and inside a mailing bag for protection on route to you. All framed paper cuts are well wrapped to avoid any breakages. Should a frame be broken in transit, I will replace the frame wherever possible. I will require photographic evidence of the breakage and any damaged packaging before dispatching a replacement.
